Create a Definition for Your Model

You use the options in the Definition tab in the Model Properties dialog to enter a definition for the model. The definition that you enter should help any person who reads the model to understand its purpose. Follow your organization's standards and conventions for defining models.

To create a definition for your model

1. Click Model Properties on the Model menu.

   The Model Properties dialog opens, on the General tab.

2. Click the Definition tab and complete the following field:
   • Definition

     Displays the model definition. Use the editing tools to cut, copy, and paste text, or open the text editor.

   Click OK.

   Your selections are saved and the Model Properties dialog closes.
