Assign Model UDP Values
After you create user-defined properties (UDPs) for a model in the UDP Dictionary dialog, you can specify property values for the model in the UDP tab in the Model Properties dialog.
To assign model UDP values
- Click Model Properties on the Model menu.
The Model Properties dialog opens, on the General tab.
- Click the UDP tab and select from the following choices:
- Property
Displays the name of the user-defined property. When you point to the property name, the UDP description displays in a ToolTip.
- Value
Specifies the current value assigned to the UDP. You can perform any of the following actions to change the value:
- Enter the property value in the Value text box for Integer, Real Number, and Text datatypes.
- Enter a date value; or click the spin option button
to change the month, day, and year; or click the calendar button
to select a date on the drop-down calendar for the Date datatype.
- Select a value from the Value list for the List datatype. For example, you can add a UDP for a table to select a backup frequency such as daily from the Value list.
- Enter a system command or click the
button to browse for a file or executable program for the Command datatype. For example, you can enter or select C:\Myfile.doc to launch the Microsoft Word document Myfile.doc.
Click OK.
Your selections are saved and the Model Properties dialog closes.
Note: You can create a new UDP from this dialog. Click
to open the User Defined Properties dialog.
