Allow Manual Layout of Relationship Lines

You can allow the manual layout of relationship lines in a model. When you set this option, it turns off the automatic layout options for relationship lines.

To allow manual layout of relationship lines

1. Click Preferences on the Model menu.

   The Format Preferences dialog opens.

2. In the Relationship Line Layout box, select the Allow manual layout check box in the Layout tab and click OK.

   The Format Preferences dialog closes.

Note: You can prohibit the manual layout of relationship lines when you clear the Allow manual layout check box. If you work in a multi-user environment, this option can be especially helpful if you do not want another user to inadvertently move the relationships for which you are responsible.
