CA Directory lets you set up groups in a directory. You can use groups to allow applications to customize the user experience based on which groups they are a member of.
If you set up static or dynamic groups, you can also use these groups as roles. The directory can use role membership to determine a user's access permissions and configuration items within the directory itself. For more information, see Role-Based Configuration.
