Analyzing Errors

In all cases, check the syntax of the CA-Datamacs/II statements as well as the COBOL statements. Consider the following reminders:

• Check for missing period
• Look for missing keywords
• Look for misspelled words
• Be sure placement is correct
• In an arithmetic expression, be sure that operators are correct
• Check pairing of parentheses
