DELETE

DELETE  table-name.

The DELETE command removes a record and all keys associated with it from a table. DELETE also releases exclusive control of the record. If authority has not been granted for this command, the record, as well as a message stating that the user is not authorized to delete records, will be printed.

The DELETE statement can only be used with the CA-Datamacs/II DATACOM MODIFY function.

A READ or SCAN command with the HOLD option must be executed prior to deleting the record
