Network Load Balancing

To accommodate heavy loads on the CCS server, you can deploy multiple CCS servers and connect them using Network Load Balancing (NLB) to distribute the load. NLB is a feature of Windows Server 2008. For details about this feature, see your Microsoft documentation.

How to Implement Network Load Balancing for Your CCS Server

  1. Set up a cluster of machines that share an IP address. For instructions, see the following documents:
  2. Configure your CCS clients to use the new IP address defined to access the NLB cluster.
  3. Set the affinity of the NLB client handling. Specifically, set the NLB Port Rules to 'None' to allow NLB clients to share the load.
