Tracking ID-538-83: Categories Not Applied To Incoming Emails

If a Categorize control action is applied to an incoming email, under certain conditions the category details are not saved with the event on the CMS. This can happen if CA DLP saves the email details and replicates them to the CMS before the recipient has selected a category from the Categorize dialog. In this situation, CA DLP is unable to save the category details as smart tags with the event metadata on the CMS.

Note: This problem only occurs if the e-mail control triggers are configured to support manual categorization, for example, by setting category scores to between 50 and 99. For details, see 'Syntax for Specifying Categories' in the Administration console online help.
