Using CA DLP Tools

CA DLP FastStart provides a set of predefined policies, searches, reports and a graphical dashboard, all designed to prevent unauthorized email and Web activity, and all accessible in the iConsole:

• Policies to detect unauthorized activity can be used out-of-the-box or they can be easily customized to suit your organization’s particular requirements. You edit these policies in the iConsole.

  Note: These policies are drawn from the CA Foundation Policy Pack (FPP), a predefined set of user policies and associated customizations for the iConsole that enable you to quickly roll out CA DLP policies across your organization.

• Searches focusing on Data In Motion, Data at Rest, and Data in Use events enable your reviewers to quickly search for specific types of user behavior. You run these searches in the iConsole.
• Reports provide fast, out-of-the-box visibility into user activity across your organization, showing the number of incidents broken down by class, policy, impact and time and enabling you to pinpoint areas of specific concern. You run these reports in the iConsole.
• The dashboard gives graphical breakdowns of user activity across your organization. It provides drill-down detail from high-level charts based on similar information to the DLP reports described above. You view the dashboard in the iConsole.
