Importing from Exchange Requires MAPI Client and CDO 1.2.1 Component

Be aware that when importing from an Exchange mailbox, the Event Import host machine must have the MAPI client and CDO 1.2.1 component installed. This component can be downloaded from the Microsoft Web site. Before you install it on the Event Import host machine, ensure that Microsoft Outlook is not also installed; if it is, you must remove it.

Note: Event Import does not require the MAPI client and CDO 1.2.1 component when importing .pst or .msg files. To import these files, Event Import must have Microsoft Outlook installed (32-bit only).
