File blob. The blob is stored on the host machines file system. For these blobs, the BlobLocation column defines the blob file location relative to the CA DLP 'Data' directory specified at install time.

Remote (RDM) blob. The blob data is held using a remote storage mechanism that is independent of CA DLP. For these blobs, the BlobLocation column contains a unique identifier used by CA DLP's Remote Data Manager (RDM) to retrieve the blob from the remote store.

Centera blob. The blob is stored on a Centera system. For these blobs, the BlobLocation column contains the Centera hash code that identifies the blob.

IBM Content Manager blob. The blob is stored on an IBM Content Manager (IBMCM) system. For these blobs, the BlobLocation column contains the IBMCM Resource Manager location identifier.
