The CA Clarity PPM connector connects to any supported CA Clarity PPM instance through XOG. No special setup is required in CA Clarity PPM.
The CA Clarity PPM connector uses a CA Clarity PPM user account to read and write data to and from CA Clarity PPM.
The following item is a known issue:
You can install the CA Clarity PPM connector from a local image or DVD, or from a network share. CA Catalyst connector installers do not support the use of UNC shares.
Best Practice: Create a dedicated CA Clarity PPM user for the purpose of reading and writing data to and from CA Clarity PPM. Grant this dedicated user the following CA Clarity PPM global access right:
Allows users to import and export information through the XML Open Gateway interface.
Type: Global
Add the dedicated user to the following access groups:
