Role Capacity and Demand [Compare to Scenario]

The Role Capacity and Demand [Compare to Scenario] grid portlet displays individual roles that are associated to the portfolio with allocation, availability, and the variance between the two. The portlet is the companion portlet to the Role Capacity and Demand [Plan of Record] portlet, and it displays a selected scenario with role plans across selected time periods. This portlet helps product analysts review resource assignments in the plan of record as compared to a scenario.

The following columns display on the portlet:

Role

The portfolio name. Click on the name to drill down to the role properties page.

Availability

The available hours across all the resources that belong to this role and this portfolio, and it is specific to the time period. For example, monthly or quarterly.

Allocation

The allocated hours across all the resources that belong to this role and this portfolio, and it is specific to the time period. For example, monthly or quarterly).

Variance

A red or green stoplight display based upon the calculation of subtracting the allocation from the availability.

• Red = if availability is LESS THAN allocation.
• Green = if availability is GREATER THAN allocation.
