Edit Filled Role Allocations by Investment

You can edit filled role allocations from the Resource/Role Allocations Summary or Detail page. Use the Resource/Role Allocations Summary page to change allocation and booking information by investment. Use the Resource/Role Allocations Detail page to change the number of hours allocated to an investment by week.

Edit Role Allocations by Investment

Use the Resource/Role Allocations Summary page to edit role allocations by investment.

To edit role allocations by investment

  1. Select Resource Planning from the Resource Management menu.

    The Resource Planning: Workloads page appears.

  2. Click the Capacity tab.

    The Resource Planning: Capacity page appears.

  3. Click the name of the role for which you want to edit allocation information.

    The Role Properties: Main - General page appears.

  4. Click the Allocations tab.

    The Resource/Role Allocations Summary page appears.

  5. Select Edit Mode from the Actions menu.

    The editable fields in the portlet display.

  6. Complete the following fields:

  8. Select Display Mode from the Actions menu to return the page to display mode.
Edit Role Allocations from the Detail Page

To edit role allocations from the Detail page

  1. Select Resource Planning from the Resource Management menu.

    The Resource Planning: Workloads page appears.

  2. Select the Capacity tab.

    The Resource Planning: Capacity page appears.

  3. Click the name of the role for which you want to edit allocation information.

    The Role Properties: Main - General page appears.

  4. Click the Allocations tab.

    The Resource/Role Allocations Summary page appears.

  5. Click the Detail subtab.
  6. Select Edit Mode from the Actions menu. The editable fields in the portlet display. Investments are listed by row, and allocations are presented by week in cells.
  7. Change the allocations for each investment as needed.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Select Display Mode from the Actions menu to return the page to display mode.
