Flag Incidents for Conversion

When an incident’s scope reaches a point where it needs to be handled as a project or project task, the IT worker assigned to work on the incident flags the incident for conversion and then assigns the incident to a project manager.

Depending on the project manager’s personal notification settings, the project manager receives a notification to convert the incident into a project or project task.

To flag an incident for conversion

  1. On the Incident List page, open the incident you want to flag for conversion by clicking the incident’s short description.

    The Incident Properties page appears.

  2. Select the Flagged for Conversion check box.
  3. Assign a project manager to this incident by clicking the Browse icon next to Assigned Project Manager field.
  4. Click Save.
