Incident Data Mapping

When an incident is converted into a project or a project task, data is carried forward with the incident to the new project. Some data may not carry forward, like the resource assigned as the contact for the incident, because this resource may not be a team member on the project. Effort data is not carried forward to the project or project task during conversion.

When you convert an incident into a project or project task, you cannot link back to the incident from the project or project task; a link only exists from the incident to the converted project or project task.
