Compare Actuals to Estimates

Once a resource assignment starts recording time spent on tasks and actuals are posted, you can compare the actuals to the estimates (ETC). Use the following procedure to compare actuals to estimates.

You can also compare actuals to estimates from the portlets on the dashboard and from the project team staff page. Once the project is under way, you can use the initial baseline to compare estimates (ETC) to actuals.

To compare actuals to estimates

1. Open the project and the task.

   The task properties page appears.

2. In the Assignments section, view the following fields.

   Actuals

   Defines the total work units that a resource assignment has worked and have been posted to the assignment.

   ETC

   Defines the total remaining work (Estimate To Complete) for the task.
