The organizational breakdown structure (OBS) is a hierarchical representation of your company's structure. You can use an OBS to align projects and investments, resources, and most objects. With an OBS, you can do the following:

• Grant resources access to object instances based on their OBS membership
• Support financial setup
• Associate collections of resources with partitions
• Categorize objects for filtering and reporting purposes
