Oracle Diskgroup Editor

The Oracle Diskgroup Editor is available only for Oracle 10g. Use the Oracle Diskgroup Editor to help manage database storage by adding disk groups or editing existing disk group properties.

The Oracle Diskgroup Editor dialog includes the following tabs:

General Specify redundancy type.

Dependencies Displays any dependencies for the disk group.

Comment Add or edit comments for a disk group.

UDP Enter a user-defined property value for a selected disk group.

The following describes all of the other options available in this dialog:

Diskgroup

Contains all the available disk groups in the current model.

New

Creates a new disk group. Opens the Create Disk Group dialog where you can specify the name for the new disk group.

Rename

Renames a disk group that you select from the Diskgroup list box. Opens the Rename Disk Group <Disk Group Name> dialog where you can assign a different name to the selected disk group.

Delete

Select a disk group from the Diskgroup list box that you want to delete, and click the Delete button.

Generate

Generates DDL for this object during Forward Engineering. If you do not select the check box, no DDL will be generated for this object during Forward Engineering.

DB Sync

Starts the Complete Compare task so you can synchronize the physical objects defined in your model with the information stored on the server.
