The Model Properties Dialog
You can use the Model Properties dialog to set defaults and document details about your model.
The Model Properties dialog includes eight tabs that let you do the following:
- In the General tab, enter the author and title for the model and review the target server and version. If the model is reverse engineered, the database the model was imported from displays.
- In the Definition tab, enter a definition for the model.
- In the Notation tab, select the modeling notation preferences for the model. You can choose whether to use Integration DEFinition for Information Modeling (IDEF1X) notation, Information Engineering (IE), or Dimensional Modeling (DM) notation.
- In the Defaults tab, set default null options and datatype options for the model. Specify default owner names, and globally reset owner names.
- In the RI Defaults tab, set default referential integrity rules for relationships in the model.
- In the UDP tab, specify a user-defined property value for the model.
- In the History Options, select the history preferences for the model.
- In the History tab, view the accumulated historical data about your model.
