Use the Reset Column Property dialog to reset the column properties to the defaults provided by the domain or corresponding primary key.
The purpose of each control in the Remove overridden properties for group box is explained below:
Click this button to reset the properties of the column selected in the Columns dialog or View Columns dialog only.
Click this button to reset the properties of all columns in the selected table.
Click this button to reset the properties of all columns in the current model.
The purpose of each option in the Reset Properties to group box is explained below.
Click this button to reset the column property to the default values assigned by the domain.
Select this check box to reset the column properties that are attached to user-defined domains.
Click this button to reset the selected column properties to match the corresponding primary key columns in the parent table.
The options in the Select Properties to Reset group box vary by the selected target server and target client. The following explains the options common to all targets:
Select this check box to reset the selected column names to those of the corresponding attribute in the logical model. Any spaces in the logical names are replaced with underscores.
Select this option if you want to reset the datatype of the selected columns to the default specified in the Target Server dialog.
Select this option if you want to reset the null option of the selected columns to the default specified in the Target Server dialog.
Select this option if you want to reset the comment for the selected columns to the definition for the corresponding attribute in the logical model.
Select this option if you want to detach all validation rules from the selected columns.
Select this option if you want to detach all default values from the selected columns.
Select this check box if you want to reset the physical model only property to the default.
Select the check box if you want to reset the user-defined property (UDP). You can reset each UDP you create.
The following explains the purpose of the remaining options in this dialog:
Selects all of the check boxes in the dialog.
Clears all of the check boxes in the dialog.
