Delete Objects on the Diagram Window
To delete objects on the diagram window
- Select the entities, tables, views, or drawing objects that you want to delete, and click the appropriate option from the Edit menu.
The options available depend on what objects you selected on the diagram window, as follows:
- Cut Entity (if you selected one entity)
- Cut Table (if you selected one table or one view)
- Cut Object (if you selected one drawing object)
- Cut Group (if you selected more than one object)
- Confirm the action you are about to perform in the Subject Area Deletion dialog, as follows:
- Select the Remove them from current subject area option to cut objects from the current subject area only; this option is not available if you are in the Main Subject Area.
- Select Delete them from the entire model to cut objects from the model.
- Click OK.
Note: If any relationships exist between the entities, tables, or views that are copied to the Clipboard, the relationships are also copied. However, relationships between copied or deleted objects and other objects in the model are lost.
