Create a Synonym for a Table

To create a synonym for a table

1. In the physical model, right-click a table, select Table Properties, and select Synonym.
2. Select New.
3. Enter the synonym name in the Name box, and click OK.
4. (Optional) Select the SYNONYM check box if your target server is DB2 z/OS.
5. Set any other properties appropriate to your target server and click OK.

Note: This functionality is only available if your target server supports synonyms.
