Universally Unique Identifiers (UUIDs)

You will quickly realize that many of the web services are UUID based. UUIDs are used to uniquely identify the many resources of the CA Business Service Insight SMI DB. Each, service, provider, and category has its own UUID. The UUIDs are used in many places to query data or to update data. UUIDs for the resources are returned in all GET operations where they may be used in a subsequent web service call.
