The master and alternate general parmlib members contain both parameter values and “directors” that contain suffixes used with standardized names to form the member names of specialized parameter members.
When a single director contains multiple suffixes, like CONS=(01,08), the parameter values in member CONSOL01 are set, then the parameter values in CONSOL08 are added to or replace those from CONSOL01 (if CONSOL01 sets values for the same parameter).
Some specialized parameter members have specific parameter formats and do not contain directors.
