Major Features

z/OS is the latest version of the Multiple Virtual Storage (MVS) operating system. It is the largest, most complex operating system by IBM. It is designed to perform system control functions in large‑scale computer systems. z/OS was designed to emphasize the features of RAS (reliability, availability, and serviceability). MVS was the first IBM operating system for which a formal integrity statement was written.
