CA Auditor was designed to be independent of any access control software package, such as CA ACF2, CA Top Secret, and RACF, that can be installed on your system. CA Auditor works equally well with any of these systems.
CA Auditor inherits whatever access authority you have. Therefore, CA Auditor cannot access data sets to which you do not have access. For example, to analyze the z/OS parameter library (logical Parmlib), you must have read‑access authority to all libraries that comprise the logical Parmlib. See the Installation Guide for more information about access control software and a summary of the type of access required for each CA Auditor data set.
