The logical parmlib contains the parameters for your z/OS operating system. These parameters specify particular options for your system. They also affect the performance and tuning of your operating system. Before you can review and manage your z/OS operating system effectively, you must know which logical parmlib members belong to which z/OS architecture. This knowledge is important to sites that run multiple z/OS systems, not all of which are the same version.
