Checklist for Using CA Audit Events

Before you can generate CA Audit events at your data center, you must:

• Have a TCP/IP network
• Have a CA Audit client active
• Configure ENF to propagate CA Audit events
• Install CA Auditor with the central parameter file (EPDSN=) option
• Set the ETAOPTNS member of the central parameter file to specify ETAUDIT=ALLOW or ETAUDIT=SAF. If ETAUDIT=SAF is specified, your security system must allow you access to the following resources in the CAEXAMIN class:
  • ETAUDIT.BATCH to generat CA Audit events in batch
  • ETAUDIT.TSO to generat CA Audit events under TSO
  • ETAUDIT.TEST to generat test CA Audit events
• Turn on events in CA Auditor with the EVENTS ON command
