Use masking to search for a series of items, such as files or programs that have some characters in their names in common.
Use an asterisk (*) to represent a single character that is not a blank or a null. You can use an asterisk in any position in a name. Use a dash (–) to represent an unlimited series of characters. You can enter a dash by itself to represent all items in the category or you can use it in an item name.

If you enter ABC*EF, CA Auditor displays:
