CA Auditor traveling license tapes have a one year expiration date. These tapes expire on January 1 each year, unless otherwise indicated. CA Technologies ships new copies of CA Auditor traveling license tapes well in advance of the expiration date. These new copies include an extended expiration date with new maintenance and features, when available.
Always use the latest distribution tape available and destroy obsolete tapes. The volume serial number located on the external tape label identifies the CA Auditor release level.
If you plan to install CA Auditor in a data center that uses access control software you should discuss the CA Auditor data set access requirements with the data center security administrator before your visit. The security administrator usually is responsible for creating a TSO account (user ID) and assigning data set access authorities.
If CA Auditor was used previously at the data center, determine if the user profile database (prefix.EXAMINE.DBASE1) is still online. If it is not, you can restore the backup copy so that the information from the last review is available for follow‑up.
Important! After completing the review, remove CA Auditor and all data sets that contain any portion of CA Auditor, including panels, messages, and programs from the system.
