Parameter File Use

You must allocate the parameter file before using CA Auditor.

The central parameter file is a partitioned data set (PDS) used with:

SNMP Trap Support: The OPTIONS and TRAPAUTH members are used to customize SNMP trap processing.
CA Audit Event Support: Use the ETAOPTNS member to customize CA Audit event processing. For information on using events, see the section CA Audit Event Support” and the Technical Reference Guide.
Symbolic Date Variable Substitution: The SYMBPARM member is used to specify symbolic date variable substitution values.
APF Analysis of UNIX System Services (USS) Hierarchical File System (HFS): The EXDATA member is used to name the external data store needed for this function.
