CA Auditor is based on the Interactive System Productivity Facility (ISPF) and requires the IBM ISPF/Program Development Facility (ISPF/PDF). CA Auditor operates under TSO as a standard ISPF/PDF application.
You can install CA Auditor without technical assistance. The installation program allocates the CA Auditor data sets, loads the distributed programs, ISPF/PDF screens, and CA Auditor system knowledge database.
You do not need APF authorization to install CA Auditor. The only CA Auditor functions that need APF authorization to run are z/OS UNIX analysis and baseline historical analysis. The system only reads z/OS internal data structures and system libraries. When access control software is present, you need read authority only.
