CA Auditor provides support for users of CA Librarian Release 4.3 and above. You can find the CA Librarian level identifier on the headings of the reports that AFOLIBR, the CA Librarian batch utility, produces.
CA Auditor uses the CA Librarian File Access Interface Routines (FAIR) to access CA Librarian libraries and members. This is a standard CA Librarian facility that CA distributes and maintains. During the installation process, FAIR is linked into the CA Auditor program library, prefix. EXAMINE.LOAD (for non‑SMP/E installations) or prefix.CAILOAD (for SMP/E installations). The CA Librarian program library is not modified.
If you are performing a non‑SMP/E installation, you must identify the CA Librarian program library to CA Auditor by including a LIBRLOAD DD statement in the installation job stream JCL. If the system includes more than one level of CA Librarian, use the program library associated with the highest release available.
If you are performing an SMP/E installation, you must change the LIBRLOAD DD statement in the LINKFAIR member of the JOBS library to point to the appropriate CA Librarian program library before running the job as part of the SMP/E procedure.
Some data centers remove FAIR from the CA Librarian program library. If the FAIR modules were moved, update the LIBRLOAD DD statement accordingly.
