Add Existing Child User Stories to an Epic

You can add multiple user stories to an epic provided they are not already the children of other epics. The user stories can span multiple sprints and releases but must belong to the same product as the epic.

To unassign a user story from the epic, open the epic and in the User Stories section, select the story and click Remove Link.

To add a user story to an epic

1. Select Epics from the Planning menu.

   The Epics list page appears.

2. Click View next for the epic to which you want to add user stories.

   The Epic Detail page appears.

3. In the User Stories section, click Add Child Story.

   The Add Child Story page appears.

4. Complete the following field:

   User Story

   Defines the child user story that belongs to this epic.

5. Select the user story to add and click Save and Close.
