Create Epics

Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Requirements page from the Product Vision menu.
  2. Click on a requirement to open the Requirements Details view.
  3. Scroll down to the User Stories and Epics section and click New Epic.

    The New Epic pop-up dialog opens.

  4. Specify the following information in the fields as necessary:
    Title

    The name of the epic.

    Product

    Specifies the product to which an epic applies.

    Assignee

    Specifies the team member who owns the epic.

    Points

    The number of points estimated to do the work associated with the epic.

    Priority

    Specifies the importance of the epic in the product.\

    Values
    • None
    • Very High
    • High
    • Medium
    • Low
    • Very Low
    • Not Prioritized
    Status

    Specifies the current status of the epic

    Values
    • None
    • Planned
    • In Progress
    • Completed
    • Closed
    Team

    Specifies the scrum team associated with the epic.

    Theme

    Defines the name of a theme associated with the epic.

    Limits: 80 characters

    Description

    Provides a description of the item being created or edited.

  5. Click Save and Close.

You can also link epics to child requirements by clicking on the name of the child requirement to open the detail page. Use the same method to link an epic.
