Edit User Story Details

To complete information for a user story in CA Product Vision, open the user story in View mode and then edit.

Follow these steps:

  1. Open the requirements list page, then select the requirement for which you want to edit user story details and click View.

    The Requirement Details page appears.

  2. In the User Stories section, click View next to the name of the user story.

    The User Story Detail page appears.

  3. Click Edit.
  4. Edit or complete the following fields:
    Title

    Specifies the name of the user story.

    Required: Yes

    Limits: 255 characters

    Example: Many Agile teams use the format: "As a ___ I want to ___ so that ___". For example, "As a user, I want to see home page when I log in so that I can view my current tasks".

    Points

    Defines the number of points estimated to complete the user story. Point values must be expressed as integers. Decimals are not allowed.

    Assignee

    Specifies the team member who owns the user story.

    Note: You can assign the user story to a CA Agile Vision user who is not a member of the scrum team that owns the story.

    Example: A member of another team assists with code review.

    Epic

    Defines this user story as the child of an existing epic. You can move a user story from one epic to another from the edit page of the user story.

    Status

    Specifies the status of the user story.

    Values:

    • Planned
    • In Progress
    • Completed
    • Closed

    Default: Planned

    Priority

    Specifies the importance of the user story in the product.

    Values:

    • Very High
    • High
    • Medium
    • Low
    • Very Low

    Default: Medium

    Description

    Defines the purpose of the user story and provides additional relevant information.

  5. Complete the following fields in the Product Information section:
    Product

    Specifies the name of the product with which the user story is associated.

    Sprint

    Specifies the sprint in which the user story is completed.

    Theme

    Specifies the CA Agile Vision theme that to be used for the user story.

    Release

    Specifies the release with which the user story is associated.

    Team

    Specifies the scrum team that assigned to complete the user story.

    Requirement

    Specifies a requirement associated with the user story.

  6. Click Save.
