CA Access Control for Virtual Environments Server Requirements

The minimum requirements for the CA Access Control Server are:

• Architecture—Intel 64-bit
• Processors—2
• Memory—3.5 GB RAM
• Available disk space—30 GB for installation, 3GB swap file

In addition, CA Access Control for Virtual Environments requires the following software installed:

• VMware ESX/ESXi—4.0, 4.1
• VMware tools—On each virtual machine that CA Access Control for Virtual Environments manages
• A central database (RDBMS)—Oracle Database 10g, Oracle Database 11g, Microsoft SQL Server 2005, or Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2

  Note: The central database is typically installed on another server. For information about system requirements for your RDBMS, see the documentation for your product.

• User store—Active Directory, RDBMS

User systems require a minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768 and the following:

• VMware vSphere Client—4.0, 4.1
• Windows—Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.x or 8.x; or Mozilla Firefox 2.x or 3.0 or 3.5
• Linux—Mozilla Firefox 2.x or 3.0 or 3.5
