Media Home Slot Changes

Valid on Windows platforms.

Symptom:

The home slot for the media changed.

Solution:

To remedy this problem, consider the following:

A media is in a library media drive, and another media is placed in the first media’s home slot.
Be careful not to insert media into the home slot of another media. When CA ARCserve Backup detects that the home slot of a media is occupied by another media, it moves the media to the first available non-cleaning slot.
A media is in a library drive and LIBRARY.CFG file was deleted or overwritten.
LIBRARY.CFG contains information about a media’s home slot, so that if, a media is in a library drive at startup, it is returned to the proper home slot.
