The Backup Server Cannot Detect Devices
Valid on Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008 systems.
Symptom:
CA ARCserve Backup does not detect libraries, files system devices, or both.
Solution:
Ensure that you completed the following tasks.
- Install UNIX and Linux Data Mover on the UNIX or Linux computer.
- Register the data mover server with the CA ARCserve Backup primary server.
- Share the libraries.
- Register the required licenses on the CA ARCserve Backup server.
- Log in directly to the data mover server and use the various platform specific commands and tools to check the status of the attached devices.
