How to Install CA ARCserve Backup and CA ARCserve Replication

The following process for installing CA ARCserve Backup and CA ARCserve Replication does not change for the integrated products:

• Perform the usual CA ARCserve Backup installation on the server designated as the CA ARCserve Backup server.

  Note: For more information about installing CA ARCserve Backup, see the CA ARCserve Backup Implementation Guide.

• Perform the usual CA ARCserve Replication installation on the servers designated as the Master server and Replica server.

  To perform backups the following configurations must exist:

  • The Replica server must be a Windows server configured according to the compatibility matrix posted for CA ARCserve Backup and CA ARCserve Replication. For more information, see the product website.
  • The Master server must be a Windows server configured according to the CA ARCserve Replication compatibility matrix.
