NAS Filer to Server NDMP Backup

The NAS filer can be backed up directly to the CA ARCserve Backup server using the Filer to Server feature. All devices that are attached to the backup server can be used as the destination of a NAS filer backup job. A limitation no longer exists that there must be a dedicated device (attached to the NAS filer) to do the NAS backup.

Example: NAS Filer to Server NDMP Backup

Any CA ARCserve Backup media destination can be a NAS filer to server destination, where CA ARCserve Backup media refers to tape library/VTL or disk (file system device, staging device, or deduplication device).
