ca_msvmpopulatedb - Examples

The following are examples of syntax for the ca_msvmpopulatedb command:

• Use the following command to add VMs to the CA ARCserve Backup Primary (or standalone) server "CASrvr1" for the first time:

  ca_msvmpopulatedb -P CASrvr1  
  

• Use the following command to add the VMs to the CA ARCserve Backup Primary (or standalone) server "CASrvr1" but do not want to remove the existing VMs that may be unreachable or powered-off at this time:

  ca_msvmpopulatedb -P CASrvr1 -retainVMinDB
  

• Use the following command to delete the VMs registered with the CA ARCserve Backup Primary (or standalone) server "CASrvr1" for this Hyper-V host:

  ca_msvmpopulatedb -P CASrvr1 -DelVMinDB
