Using the Agent to Handle Open Files

Use the agent to back up files in the following scenarios:

• When you are backing up small amounts of data on a large volume
• When you are backing up files on a volume that has high utilization
• When you are backing up files that are not supported by a Writer (A Writer is an application that is aware of VSS.)
