Reason:

This message indicates that CA ARCserve Backup is unable to send data or commands to the Agent for Microsoft Exchange Server because a network error has occurred or because the agent services have been shut down.

Action:

To address this error message, perform the following steps:

  1. Check your network connections and confirm that the machine running the Backup Server can contact the machine running the agent.
  2. If both services are confirmed to be running and the network connections are working, stop and restart the Backup Agent RPC Server service and Backup Agent Remote Service on the machine running the agent.
