Reason:

This error message indicates that CA ARCserve Backup is unable to back up data or browse because the IP address or IPX/SPX address for the target is invalid or unspecified.

Action:

To address this error message, perform the following procedure:

1. In the Backup Manager, locate the Client Agent entry for the affected node.
2. Right-click the entry and select Modify Agent from the pop-up menu.
3. Verify and update the machine name and address.
