The SAN Option requires that each shared device have its own unique serial number. The serial number is used to synchronize device sharing between servers on the SAN. This error message indicates that no unique serial number could be found.
Action:
Contact the hardware vendor and determine whether there is a firmware update to assign a unique serial number to this device is available.
