Reason:

This error message indicates that the SAN Option has been installed on the server, but the server has not been configured as either a Primary or a Distributed server and the use of your shared SAN- attached devices has been disabled.

Action:

To address this error message, perform the following procedure:

  1. Stop the Tape Engine.
  2. Run the SAN Option Configuration to configure your server as either a Primary or a Distributed Server.
  3. Restart the Tape Engine.
