CA ARCserve Backup installs VMware Virtual Disk Development Kit (VDDK) 1.2.1 on all systems where you install the agent. You do not need to download and install VDDK on your backup proxy systems.

Note: For all updates and patches released after the general availability release of the agent, CA ARCserve Backup installs VMware Virtual Disk Development Kit (VDDK) 5.0 on all systems where you install the agent.
