Reason:

The backup session encountered a Span condition, but the job was unable to accommodate (or write) the mutiplexing metadata at the end of the current tape, possibly because a media- or drive-related error occurred, the system is low on memory, or because an internal CA ARCserve Backup error occurred.

Action:

To address this error message, perform the following tasks:

• Check the Activity Log and TAPE.LOG for media- and drive-related errors. For information on troubleshooting media- and drive-related errors, see Media Errors.
• If the system is low on memory, close unnecessary programs for the duration of the backup.
• Ensure that the Activity Log and Tape log are available.
